How to test

Before you start
You need: the test, a clean, dry cup and a timer.
Check the expiry date and the foil pouch. Do not use an expired test or a test from a damaged or already opened pouch. The test and urine must be at room temperature (15–30 °C).
You can test at any time of day. Open the pouch when you are ready to begin. Use the test as soon as possible, within 1 hour of opening.
How to test

Get ready
Collect urine in a clean, dry cup. Open the pouch and take out the strip.

Apply urine
Hold the strip upright in the urine, with the arrows pointing down. Dip for at least 10 seconds. Keep the urine level at or below the MAX line.

Lay flat
Remove the strip. Lay it flat on a clean, dry surface that does not absorb liquid. Start your timer.

Read your result
Read your result after 3–5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 5 minutes.

C = control line · T = test line
Check C first: without a control line, the test is invalid.
Negative
Only C is visible. The test has not detected hCG above its detection limit.
An early negative result does not rule out pregnancy. If you still think you may be pregnant, test again after a few days. If your period has not arrived after a second negative test, speak to a doctor.
Invalid
C is missing, whether or not T is visible. You cannot use this result.
Repeat with a new test. If C is missing again, stop using the tests and contact Pinkline with the lot number (LOT).

More important information
What the test cannot tell you
This test does not measure an exact hCG level. Line darkness cannot reliably show how a pregnancy is developing. A test alone does not confirm the progress or location of a pregnancy. Make medical decisions with a healthcare professional.
After birth, miscarriage or an abortion, hCG may remain detectable for several weeks. Menopause and some conditions, such as a molar pregnancy or a uterine tumour, can also affect results. Ask a doctor about unexpected results.
Storage and disposal
Store at 4–30 °C, away from sunlight, moisture and heat. Follow the expiry date on the packaging. Use once only. Dispose of used tests with household waste in line with local rules.
